A Bit of Good News

Our heroine is afraid she has no #FridayFlash to share today, dear Reader. It’s not that I didn’t want to write one. I deemed writing one as procrastinating on my NaNo novel. It really would have been. Promise.

The first several days of NaNo haven’t been kind to me. In addition to my NaNo Cursey Stuff, I hit a major roadblock and couldn’t see what to do with it. I know – believe me, I know – just write through it. Unfortunately, combine going writer in the headlights with the Cursey Stuff and you get… no words.

I figured out what to do with all the crucial information and backstory and am moving on. I’m sure I’ll change it later, but for the time being, it’s fine.

So, I mentioned good news in the title.

  • I’ve written a guest post to be used by a popular person on Twitter. She’ll post it to her site during the NaNoWriMo festivities. I’ll let you know when as soon as I do. I love writing guest posts.
  • Someone involved with a well-respected visual arts and literature journal approached me with the thought of publishing one of my stories. I’m eager to make the proposed changes, but know that would be  procrastinating as well. So does he, so he’s being patient, bless him.

So here I go, kicking sand in the eyes of the Cursey Stuff and making up that word count for NaNo. How’s it going for you?

No worries. You mustn’t procrastinate on you NaNo. That is most important for this month. Good luck with it!

And that is good news about your guest post AND getting sought out to be published. So glad he’s waiting for you.

Not doing NaNo, but love taking out the pom poms and cheering on the people who are in the thick of it. 🙂

    Rah, rah!

I can see you on the sidelines, shouting and shaking your pompoms, Marisa. You’re so encouraging! Thanks so much. I hope to meet your support with raging success as I banish the Cursey Stuff.

      Take care,
      Jess
